Huei was born and raised in Taiwan, where she began her piano studies at the age of five. She held a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from National Taiwan Normal University (the top music school in Taiwan). During school time, she was selected as a participant in several competitions, such as National Taiwan Student Piano Competition, Asian Music Competition and Hong Kong Pacific Piano Open Competition. At the same time, she received scholarships to attend famous music festivals, including Brevard Music Festival (North Carolina) and The Piano Society Summer Festival (South Korea). She not only performed as a solo pianist but also a collaborative pianist.
Besides performing, Huei devoted her love of music to teaching. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree at NTNU, she developed a strong interest in education. She gained her performance degree as well as a teaching certificate and became a nationally qualified music teacher. Upon the time she got her Master’s degree, she had been teaching in schools for years, conducting both group classes and private lessons.
As a successful pianist and teacher, her biggest dream is to spread the magic of piano. Due to her educational and professional background, she understands students well and she can always find the way that helps the student best.
